You can venture out to visit the Maya ruins, snorkeling with the adorable turtles (my favorite animal!) or go visit the underwater museum. Oh, go visit Pablo Escobar’s mansion turn boutique hotel and offers tours.
Charleston, South Carolina: I have lived in South Carolina my whole life and just recently got to explore the city. I went on a Valentine’s Day bae-action with my lovely fiancé. You can hire a personal photographer to capture V-Day shoots at he legendary Angel Oak Tree.
San Antonio, Texas: Texas is rich in USA history and worth a spot for a diverse vacation. You can spend the day learning about the battle of the Alamo at the Alamo Museum. The Riverwalk is perfect spot to spend a day with your boo; going shopping and eating at one of the many patio restaurants with great views. You guys can even take an evening cruise down the river and enjoy the Riverwalk nightlife.
New York, New York: New York is New York! I mean what is there NOT to do in New York for a perfect romantic getaway? Your bae-cation can be spent in the Brooklyn zoo or botanical garden, go to Chinatown for lunch, cuddle up on the Ferris wheel in Coney Island, do little shopping in Soho village then finish your night on Broadway seeing a show. May I even suggestion to go see Aladdin or Chicago my personal favorite shows. Before you leave, go have a mini photo shoot on the Brooklyn bridge to capture the moment forever.
Asheville, North Carolina Asheville is one of the most beautiful places I have visited. You may have heard of Asheville because of the 5000-acre Biltmore Estates. Build in the 1880s by one of the wealthiest families in the USA the Vanderbilt. The grounds offer so much to its visitors from estate/garden tours, shopping in the antler cottages and complimentary wine tasting. Wine me please! Guest can also stay at the hotel on the grounds and sign up for in room spa services. Besides the Biltmore, venture out to the streets of Asheville and go enjoy a concert at the Orange Peel for a night out on the town. The downtown life is nice with several different shapes. Take your boo to learn about feminism at the aSHEville Museum. During your visit you can make an appointment at the Spa at Omni and get a deep tissue couples massage or mountain honey wrap ( which is to DIE for !)
Savannah, Georgia: people always give the southern charm award to Charleston, but I think it should go to Savannah. The cobblestone streets, antebellum styled homes and quirky landscape creates the ultimate story book vacation. I have been to Savannah once a year and always discover something new about the city. I have eaten some of the best crab cakes at The River House, dance the night away at Treehouse, are my weight in pizza at Huc-A-Poos and relaxed all afternoon on Tybee Island beach. During the off seasons the beach is empty, so you and your boo have so the day to relax under the cool breeze.
New Orleans, Louisiana: whatever the question is New Orleans is always the answer. NOLA is one of my favorite cities in the world to visit. The weather is always warm and humid (braids sis!) even in the winter. Visitors can legally drink in the streets so that the pitcher of hurricane to go and explore all of Bourbon street. Enjoy yourself dancing in the streets to love of the live music players and don’t forget to tip. But remember to step outside of the normal touristy Bourbon and Canal street. Check out my guide on things to do and eat in NOLA.
Aspen, Colorado: Do you know how to Ski? Technically you can learn to ski anywhere, but why not learn in the snowy paradise of Aspen? Aspen is snow-cation everyone needs to visit at least once in their life. You can book a weekend I one of the many upscale snow lounges or rent out an entire apartment with Airbnb for your romantic getaway.
Negril Jamaica: seven-mile beach and jerk chicken enough said. The best jerk anything is made in Jamaica not up for debate. Negril less touristy area which helps visitors save money. Thrillest named Negril one of the cheapest island getaways with the average cost of beer being $2.20.
Napa California- one word: WINE. Napa is known for its winery’s and wine tours. But the beautiful castles should come a close second. Picture it, strolling down a beautiful wine yard with a dusty sunrise behind you holding hands with your love. Hmmmm, I think I need to book a flight now!
I hope whatever you and your loved one does for this Valentines Day is fun. A holiday trip is definitely a good stress reliever and gives you that one-on-one time that I am sure you need this time of the year.
